Lawyer since 1975, arbitrator since 1982. Formerly a university Senior Lecturer in Law, specialising in international commercial law and investment/development.
Career Summary
1975 to date: private practice lawyer in both transactional and dispute fields.
Now substantially a transactional lawyer in international investment and business.
In addition, 1983/5: export business; 1995 to date: director of companies in transport, motorsport, property, and apparel industries.
Appointments
First appointed as an arbitrator in 1982; have practised extensively since as arbitrator, adjudicator, conciliator and mediator.
Publications
Co-author of textbooks "E-Commerce Law in New Zealand" and "New Zealand Conveyancing Law & Practice", and author of "E-Commerce Law" chapter in "Gault on Commercial Law" textbook.
Author of several dozen articles in specialist learned journals.
Speciality Areas
Land, property, intellectual property, rural, contract, construction and international investment law.
Special interest in motorsport law and rules.
