Te Papa is New Zealand's national museum, offering visitors a unique and authentic experience of this country's treasures and stories. The museum itself is over five floors, where you can explore the nation's nature, art, history, and heritage - from the shaping of its land to the spirit of its diverse peoples, from its unique wildlife to its distinctive art and visual culture. Conference '09 business sessions will be held at Te Papa in the Oceania Events Centre. The Fellows' Breakfast will be held at the Icon Restaurant and any events not at Te Papa are listed in the programme accordingly.
The Grand Hall,
Parliament
Parliament Buildings are in Wellington, the capital city of New Zealand. Click here how to find out how to get there if you are travelling by plane, train, car, bus, or on foot.
After the opening at Parliament we will go to the Backbencher for dinner. The Backbencher Pub and Cafe is literally and figuratively the heart of political satire in the Capital. We can enjoy a meal among the history of New Zealand politics, as the Government buildings offer a striking backdrop.
If you are joining us for the Newbies Function, the AMINZ office is easy walking distance from Te Papa. Click here for details.
Annual Dinner
Our Annual Conference Dinner will be held at the Hotel Intercontinental on Saturday night, which is easily located in the Wellington CBD. Please click here for a map of Wellington.
