Judge Paul von Dadelszen was appointed a Judge of the District and Family Courts in 1987 and he currently presides over the Family Court in Hawkes Bay. He was Acting Principal Family Court Judge for periods in 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008. Positions held prior to appointment included President of the Hawkes Bay District Law Society and Chancellor of the Anglican Diocese of Waiapu and being a member of the NZ Council of Social Services and the Hawkes Bay Hospital Board. He has published articles on family law topics in the International and New Zealand Family Law Journals. The judge is married with 3 children and 4 grandchildren.
