Hon Robert Fisher QC, LLD, FAMINZ, was a High Court Judge for 15 years from 1989 to 2004. During that time he became Chair of the Rules Committee, Auckland Executive Judge and Judge in charge of the Commercial List, conducted judicial settlement conferences, and delivered a number of reported decisions on arbitration and mediation. Since 2004 he has been in full-time practice as an arbitrator, mediator, consultant and appellate judge in various Pacific Island states. He has published and lectured widely on a variety of topics including arbitration, mediation, relationship property, evidence, procedure, intellectual property, maritime law, tribunals, jurisprudence, and advocacy.
