Ranald is the General Manager of PKW Farms Ltd, a Maori Incorporation farming 7000 cows on 2000 eff ha and administering 300 ground leases under the Maori Reserved Land Act .As a registered valuer, registered farm management consultant, licensed real estate Agent and rural arbitrator/mediator his background prior to taking up his current GM position in 2006 was initially 10 years in the banking industry followed by 20 years in a valuing /farm management /dispute resolution /property management role with Staples Rodway Chartered Accountants in New Plymouth. Ranald is still involved in rural dispute resolution with mediation /arbitration .With his wife he has a 330 cow dairy farm in Stratford on which he contracts a 50/50sharemilker.  Ranald is on the AMINZ Arbitration Panel and Rural List, and is a member of the AMINZ Council.
