Richard is a Director of Prendos Ltd, possibly New Zealand's leading building consultancy company in the fields of building contract disputes, building defect analysis, remediation of buildings and property valuation.

He has over 35 years of experience in the field of construction, 16 of these in New Zealand.

Richard is a Registered Building Surveyor (Certified Weathertightness Inspector and Remediation Specialist), and a Registered Quantity Surveyor . He is also an Associate of the Arbitrators and Mediators Institute of New Zealand, and is a panel member of Construction Contracts Act adjudicators with two Authorised Nominating Authorities, AMINZ and Building Disputes Tribunal Ltd.

He currently is a council member and treasurer of the Society of Construction Law (NZ) Inc., and a Council Member of the New Zealand Institute of Building Surveyors.
