J. Anderson (Andy) Little
Renowned North Carolina author, mediator and attorney, J. Anderson (Andy) Little is trained and certified as a Civil Trial Court and Family Mediator. With a flourishing fulltime practice and over 15 years of experience in mediation, Andy Little has mediated in excess of 4,000 cases. Prior to setting up his mediation practice, Andy had 17 years experience as a trial lawyer in commercial, personal injury, domestic and criminal cases. His practice is now devoted exclusively to conducting mediated settlement conferences and teaching mediation skills and techniques.
Andy Little chaired the committees that created the court
mediation programs in North Carolina. He was the first Chair of
the North Carolina Bar Association's Dispute Resolution
Section, served two terms on the Dispute Resolution Commission,
and served as the Commission's Chair by appointment of the
Chief Justice.
Andy Little's acclaimed book, published by the American Bar Association, "Making Money Talk: How to Mediate Insured Claims and Other Monetary Disputes" is the basis for his workshops, one of which he will run at conference. For anyone who deals with mediating or negotiating claims where money is in issue, Andy Little is a "must see" and he brings with him a wealth of experience in instigating mediation in the Court system.
