Dr Peter Spiller has been the Principal Disputes Referee for the past 4 years. He is responsible for the appointment, training and support of the 60 Referees of the Disputes Tribunals in New Zealand. He is the author of the book "Disputes Tribunals in New Zealand", published by Brookers. He has been a legal academic for the last 33 years and is the author of ten books. He is a Professor of Law at Waikato University, presently on secondment to the Ministry of Justice.
