Peter is a qualified quantity surveyor with over 35 years experience in the New Zealand building industry. Much of his experience relates to building services, with eight years as professional quantity surveyor, ten years as senior quantity surveyor for Fletcher Mechanical, and ten years as national commercial manager for Chubb New Zealand. Peter was instrumental in founding the New Zealand Building Subcontractors Federation, and actively lobbied for the Construction Contracts Act 2002, and continues to have an active involvement in industry matters. He is author of Managing Contractors Cashflow - Making the Construction Contracts Act work for you and has delivered many presentations on the Act and related matters. Peter is principal of Calderglen Associates Limited, a Wellington-based construction contract and alternative disputes resolution consultancy established in 2001, offering arbitration, mediation, adjudication, advocacy, facilitation, dispute prevention and negotiation services.
