ADR and the Maori Cultural Framework
Please join us for the next Wellington Breakfast meeting with speaker Baden Vertongen.
Baden will be discussing ADR processes involving Maori and the cultural framework required for a successful mediation, including expectations, different support mechanisms and the Tikanga that applies.
Baden has worked on a wide range of legal issues affecting Maori organisations and those who work with Maori, including working on the negotiation and settlement of Treaty of Waitangi claims and the protection and utilisation of those assets post-settlement.
Baden is an Associate member of AMINZ and a member of the Resolution Institute. Baden has particular experience assisting in disputes between Maori organisations, disputes between Maori and non-Maori entities, and where there is a cross-cultural aspect to the dispute.
