Stepping into the Shoes of those Experiencing Conflict

Please join us for the next Palmerston North breakfast meeting. This month's discussion will be led by Simon Cayzer, who will present the following topic:

Stepping into the shoes of people experiencing conflict can help dispute resolution practitioners better understand the parties they are seeking to help. What skills and strategies assist us as dispute resolution professionals to more deeply understand those experiencing conflict, and facilitate deeper resolution? Insights and interaction around these questions.

Biographical Note

Starting with a degree in Horticultural science in the ‘80s Simon has enjoyed the privilege of studying in HR, Management and Dispute Resolution finishing with a Masters in 2013. He has been a member of the Massey dispute resolution service since 2010. Currently, he is the National Director of the Navigators, a charitable organisation working with people from a range of backgrounds including tertiary students, professionals and people coming out of prison. For fun, he works on a lifestyle block with his wife Juliet, enjoys photography and is getting into mountain biking.
