International Dispute Resolution Put To The Test - The Commonwealth Study Into International Commercial Arbitration

In 2019, the Commonwealth Secretariat conducted a study into international commercial arbitration in the context of the available international dispute resolution mechanisms . The aim of the study was to understand the use of international commercial arbitration in addressing commercial disputes across the Commonwealth, as well as ways in which member countries may strengthen the accessibility and effectiveness of international commercial arbitration. The study was considered at the Commonwealth Law Ministers Meeting in November 2019.

Professor Petra Butler, who was the study's lead expert, will set out the main findings of the study, then the panel will discuss certain aspects of the study.
