Farm Debt Mediation

From relief milking at age 15, a lambing beat, haymaking and orchard work, to modelling national livestock and forestry production, 22 years as an economist while running a horticultural business with my wife, and a term as a Commissioner on the Environment Court both mediating and deciding on rural issues, I have a lifetime interest in primary production and things rural. Add in extensive RMA and earthquake mediations, as well as general mediations, I am well-placed to help you move forward with your rural financial disputes.

After growing up in Northland and attending university in Auckland, I have lived in Canterbury since 1983. We have lived in Oxford since 1999, and our current home has suffered moderate superficial damage. I was in Central Christchurch when the Feb 2011 earthquake struck. An economist of over 25 years experience, with concurrent experience in employment disputes, I have been mediating since 2006. A Deputy Commissioner in the Environment Court since 2007, I have undertaken numerous mediations and have an extensive knowledge of Resource Management Act matters.
