Professional Experience

Andrew is a barrister sole with over 25 years experience as a civil litigator in New Zealand and the United Kingdom. Andrew's practice is principally in the areas of building and construction and property-related disputes, insurance disputes, company/shareholder disputes, disciplinary proceedings and sports disputes.

Andrew is available for appointment as an arbitrator, adjudicator, mediator and Dispute Review Board member throughout New Zealand and overseas. Andrew is also available for engagement as counsel in arbitrations, adjudications and mediations.

In addition to his experience as counsel in court proceedings at first instance and appellate levels, Andrew has extensive experience in alternative dispute resolution. He is a Principal Arbitrator and Adjudicator for the Building Disputes Tribunal, a member of the AMINZ Arbitration Panel and Adjudicators List and a LEADR-qualified mediator.
