Admitted to the bar in 1984, joined commercial litigation teams at Simpson Grierson and Russell McVeagh before going to the independent bar in 1991 and working from Bankside Chambers, Auckland, in commercial litigation; moved to Wellington in 2004 and joined Waterfront Chambers; former part-time lecturer University of Otago and lecturer University of Auckland, Masters' Programme in Commercial Dispute Resolution and under-graduate paper in Arbitration
