Meet the speakers

Andrew Wierda

Andrew Wierda is the CEO of the popular legal research platform, Law Cyborg. He coordinates the development of the platform, and is deeply involved in how LC's AI system is architected. Coming from a background in both software and law at EY Law, he now runs product development end-to-end and leads Law Cyborg's specialist AI team.

Andrew works with AI daily and closely monitors advancements on all levels of AI system development.

 

Manraj Singh Rahi

Manraj Singh Rahi recently joined Law Cyborg as Product Lead. Coming from a background as a solicitor at Buddle Findlay and an advisor at the New Zealand Permanent Mission to the UN. Manraj works to understand how New Zealand's best problem solvers can use specialist AI systems to do their jobs more effectively and communicates this understanding to his development team. Formerly Head Tutor at Victoria University of Wellington’s School of Information Management and President of the New Zealand Law Students’ Association, he brings a rare blend of technical understanding and legal insight to his work.
