Elected to Council in 2025, Emmolina brings extensive experience across New Zealand’s residential, commercial, civil, infrastructure, and education sectors, with a strong focus on construction law, contract management, and dispute resolution. Her multidisciplinary background offers a deep perspective of how conflicts arise, and how clear, timely, and fair processes can lead to better outcomes.

As a Registered Quantity Surveyor, Emmolina has advised on projects across a wide range of sectors, including complex developments, renewable energy, 3 waters, industrial, transportation and community-focused projects. She is known for bringing clarity, commercial balance, and culturally informed insight to challenging situations.

Alongside her industry involvement, Emmolina lectures in construction law, procurement, and contract administration at her local polytechnic, where she actively mentors emerging professionals across the sector. She currently chairs the Education Committee of the New Zealand Institute of Quantity Surveyors (NZIQS) and is deeply committed to supporting early-career professionals through mentorship and industry engagement. Emmolina also hosts AMINZ networking events in the Bay of Plenty region, providing a platform for inclusive, cross-disciplinary conversations.

As a migrant to New Zealand who began her career on construction sites, Emmolina brings both lived experience and professional depth to her role on Council. She is passionate about early dispute resolution, contractual clarity, and culturally aware practice, while also advocating for greater access to justice, particularly for underrepresented communities in the dispute resolution field.

Emmolina brings a forward-looking, practice-based voice grounded in sector credibility, governance experience, and a deep commitment to people, process, and progress. Her vision is to support AMINZ’s continued growth as a trusted, inclusive, and future-ready leader in dispute resolution sector.
