The AMINZ Expert Skills Intensive (AESI) is a two day course designed to provide professionals who act as expert witnesses with the knowledge and practical skills to give evidence effectively in courts, tribunals, and alternative dispute resolution.
This Intensive course is a first for AMINZ combining, pre-course learning, expert-led instruction, hands-on exercises.
Participants will gain knowledge, confidence, practical tools, and guidance for preparing and delivering evidence in accordance with the rules of evidence and professional obligations.
The programme covers 10 modules presented by experienced experts and litigation lawyers including:
The development of expert evidence and the applicable High Court Rules.
Conduct and reporting in domestic and international arbitration, and in mediation.
The expert’s role, including appointment, interaction with advocates, and professional duties.
Lessons from case law on expert evidence.
Writing reports with clarity, conciseness, and effective communication.
Practical advice for cross-examination, including interactive exercises.
Industry-recognised reporting models, methods, and templates to support credible and confident evidence.
