Meet the Facilitators

Professor Nadja Alexander

Dr Nadja Alexander is recognised as a global thought leader in the field of mediation and dispute resolution (WWL). She has worked in dispute resolution settings in 40 countries and has pioneered systems for international mediation law and practice.

Nadja was a foundation member of the International Advisory Board of the United Nations Global Mediation Panel and is is a Lead Academic for the APEC Online Dispute Resolution Collaborative Framework. Her books include EU Mediation Law Handbook, International and Comparative Mediation, and the Singapore Convention on Mediation. She is lead author of the SIDRA Dispute Resolution Survey Report, published every two years.

Nadja is Professor of Law and Director of the Singapore International Dispute Resolution Academy (SIDRA) at the Singapore Management University.

 

Dr Grant Morris

Dr Grant Morris (PhD, LLB Hons, BA Hons) is Associate Professor of Law at Victoria University of Wellington. Grant is an accredited mediator and AMINZ Fellow and has worked as a facilitator and negotiator over the past two decades.

Dr Morris’s research areas include mediation, interest-based negotiation and New Zealand legal history. He has published several books and numerous articles on these subjects, including the recent work, Mediation in New Zealand (2nd ed, Thomson Reuters).

 

Ann Skelton

Ann is qualified commercial mediator, investigator and barrister with over 20 years experience. Ann has practised as a litigator, advocate and in-house Counsel in the areas of general civil litigation, insurance law and employment law.

Ann's investigation work has been into workplace issues such as allegations of bullying and harassment, but also wider reviews of workplace culture or more systemic issues.

Ann is a Fellow (Mediation) of AMINZ; member of the Adjudication Panel for Ministry of Education, the Natural Hazards Dispute Panel, and the Retirement Village Disputes Panel; a member of The Association of Workplace Investigators.
