Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland Network Meeting | May 2026

  • Jubilee Building | Parnell Community Centre 545 Parnell Road Auckland, Auckland, 1052 New Zealand (map)

Join us to hear from guest speaker Josh McBride, at the next Auckland Network Meeting.

Josh will present ‘AI – starting with the basics’, offering a practical introduction to how AI tools are being used in dispute resolution and what this means for practitioners. From arbitrator disclosure to confidentiality, these are not future issues, they are already emerging in matters underway today.

This is a valuable opportunity to build your understanding, consider how AI may impact your work, and start thinking about how you might incorporate AI into your own processes.

We look forward to having you join the conversation.

Josh McBride is a barrister at Richmond Chambers in Auckland. He practises in complex commercial litigation, construction, and arbitration, and is admitted in New Zealand, New South Wales, Tonga, and Samoa.

Josh has a particular interest in the practical application of artificial intelligence in legal practice. He integrates AI tools into his day-to-day work — from document review and evidence analysis to correspondence management — and has spoken on these themes at various conferences and for a number of law firms and barristers.

His focus is on what AI can realistically do for practitioners right now, and where the boundaries are.
