Adding Value Through Mediation and Arbitration: AMINZ Partners with New Zealand Law Society

AMINZ has partnered with New Zealand Law Society to deliver a practical session designed to help lawyers use mediation and arbitration more effectively to achieve better outcomes for clients and add value to their practice.

Dispute Resolution in Practice: Adding Value Through Mediation and Arbitration will draw on the Arbitrators’ and Mediators’ Institute of New Zealand’s extensive practitioner network and experience to provide practical guidance on the use of mediation and arbitration across a range of commercial disputes.

As commercial disputes become increasingly complex, advisers are under growing pressure to deliver outcomes that are not only legally sound, but commercially effective. Understanding when and how to engage alternative dispute resolution processes can play a critical role in achieving those outcomes.

AMINZ President Malcolm Wallace and Vice President Dr Anna Kirk will present the session, with solicitor and 2026 AMINZ Scholar (Determinative) Oscar Read moderating.

“AMINZ and New Zealand Law Society have partnered to help build confidence in dispute resolution processes,” says AMINZ Executive Director Monique Pearson. “Attendees will gain insight into working effectively with mediators and arbitrators, along with practical ways to incorporate dispute resolution processes into their broader advisory approach.”

The session is taking place at New Zealand Law Society’s Auckland branch on Thursday 30 June. Learn more.
