Four Content Streams
The e-Learning programme is structured around four content streams that provide a balanced framework and reflect what contemporary dispute resolution practice increasingly requires.
Human Dynamics and Wellbeing: recognises that our work is ultimately about people, relationships and conflict, and that practitioner wellbeing matters too.
Intercultural Fluency: reflects the importance of being able to work effectively across cultures, communities and different perspectives.
Future Practice: looks at what is changing around us, including AI and technology, as well as areas such as communication, professional profile and building a sustainable practice.
Practice and Sector Updates: helps members keep abreast of legislative, regulatory, technical and sector-specific developments.
Fast Five with Monique Pearson
“There’s an enormous amount of information available to practitioners, both here and internationally, and it can be challenging to keep across what’s most relevant. I think AMINZ has an important role in helping members navigate that by bringing useful developments, new thinking, practical issues and resources to the professional community in a way that’s accessible and relevant.”
Executive Director Monique Pearson answers our fast five questions about the thinking behind the programme, the gap it is designed to fill, how she developed the four content streams, and more.
Upcoming e-Learning Sessions
First e-Learning Session: Friday 30 October, 12–12.45pm
Reframing Individual Employment Dispute Resolution in New Zealand with Lisa Oakley
What if the way we resolve employment disputes is sometimes part of the problem? Mediator and workplace conflict specialist Lisa Oakley explores where individual employment disputes can become unnecessarily entrenched, and where earlier intervention may create better outcomes.
Drawing on more than 20 years across employment relations, investigations, mediation and organisational change, alongside her doctoral research on dispute resolution, Lisa will examine the human, legal and organisational cost of protracted conflict and practical ways to reframe the path to resolution.
This lunchtime session is designed for dispute resolution and employment practitioners interested in fairer, more proportionate, and more sustainable approaches.
