The Programme

  • Current market developments and industry trends with changes in key construction laws and regulations.

  • This presentation will explore how frontline procurement decisions can drive claims behaviour and influence dispute outcomes. The value of moving mediation upstream, using dispute avoidance and mitigation system design to address complex programmatic risks before infrastructure capital becomes trapped.

  • This presentation will explore:

    • Contract administration failures (late or incomplete information, poor record-keeping, delayed decision-making, unclear roles)

    • Variations, de-scoping and scope allocation

    • Payment disputes, retentions and cashflow pressure

  • The panel will explore:

    • When adjudication works, and when it doesn’t.

    • Timing and effectiveness of mediation.

    • Arbitration and litigation in complex disputes.

    • How parties are choosing dispute resolution pathways in 2026, and the factors driving early versus late resolution.

  • Together, we'll explore:

    • Whether adjudication, mediation and arbitration are still fit for purpose

    • Whether the industry is genuinely moving from reactive to proactive resolution – and if not, why not

    • The skills required across the project lifecycle, not just at the point of dispute

More speakers and sessions to be announced soon.
