Event Information

The event will be held at The George, 50 Park Terrace, Christchurch.

Programme

Monday - Wednesday

9 am - 5 pm. We suggest you arrive slightly earlier on the first day to get settled in before we kick things off at 9 am.

Your workbook will be provided to you on your arrival, feel free to browse this while you get settled.

10:30 - 10:50 am | Morning Break

12:30 - 1:20 pm | Lunch

3:10 - 3:30 pm | Afternoon break

Parking

The George has limited onsite parking. On-street carparking is available on Peterborough St as well as Wilsons Parking, 52 Peterborough St

Please note that the suggested carparks are recommended for convenience, and we have no affiliation with these carparks. We are not responsible for any issues or incidents that may arise in connection with the use of these facilities

Thursday

8:30 am - 4:30 pm. Thursday is the day to practice the skills you have learnt. To ensure we have enough time for the entire group to practice, we are starting 30 minutes earlier.

Practice day overview

The AMSI Practice Day is designed to help you put your mediation skills into practice in a safe and supportive environment. This is a learning experience and an opportunity to apply what you’ve learned throughout the week, gain valuable insights, and build confidence in your mediation approach.

What to expect

•     You will take part in three mediation scenarios during the day.

•     In one of the scenarios, you will act as the mediator.

•     In the other two scenarios, you will take on the role of a party in a dispute.

Friday

9:30 am - 3:30 pm. Our final day starts later and finishes earlier to accommodate those who may need to travel.

11 am | Break

12:30 - 1:15 pm | Lunch

3:30 pm | End of Day
