AMINZ and HIAC Strengthen Ties During Delegation Visit
On Friday 28 November 2025 we welcomed a delegation from the Hainan International Arbitration Court (HIAC) to discuss international arbitration best practices, dispute resolution innovations, and opportunities for joint initiatives to strengthen our international ties.

The delegation included Mr Chen Huajun, HIAC Vice President, Ms Liu Juan, Deputy Director of the International Mediation Center, Ms Mao Xiaofei, HIAC Arbitrator, and Ms Chen Chen, Case Manager.
Our discussions were wide-ranging, covering the latest developments in international arbitration, innovations in dispute resolution mechanisms, and arbitrator accreditation and certification programmes. We also explored opportunities for future training and conferences.
A key milestone was the formalisation of our cooperation through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) by AMINZ Vice President Dr Anna Kirk and HIAC Vice President Mr Chen Huajun.

This collaboration reinforces our relationship and shared commitment to excellence in arbitration and dispute resolution.
As part of our collaboration, AMINZ was also invited to be a supporting organisation for the HIAC session at London Arbitration Week 2025.
We would like to thank Dr Anna Kirk, Council Member Emmolina May, and Monique Pearson for their contributions to the visit, with a special acknowledgement to Emmolina for chairing the event and helping to bridge our two cultures.
“AMINZ’s initiative in inviting me to help bridge our two cultures demonstrates the organisation’s inclusiveness and openness,” says Emmolina. “I was grateful to be apart of the event and facilitate discussions.”
We would also like to thank Bankside Chambers for hosting us.
